MiCA Compliance Note

Implemented

  • Art. 87 — Inside information classification (precise, non-public, significant price effect)
  • Art. 87 — Access control and trading embargo enforcement for authorized persons
  • Art. 87 — Detection of embargo violations and tipping-off patterns

Out of Scope

  • Art. 91 — Actual reporting to competent authorities or STOR (Suspicious Transaction Order Report) submission
  • Art. 88 — Market manipulation detection (wash trading, pump-and-dump patterns)
  • Real blockchain data and live price feeds — uses mock data for demonstration

What this POC does not implement

  • Real-time price feeds — Market prices are mocked; actual implementation requires live exchange feeds
  • Authority notification workflows — Submitting violations to NCA/ESMA requires authenticated API integration
  • Message encryption/secure channels — Tipping-off detection assumes system logs; real systems require encrypted communications monitoring
  • Historical timeline analysis — Production systems must retain 5+ years of transaction history for pattern analysis
  • Multi-jurisdiction coordination — Complex cross-border cases require NCA-to-NCA coordination outside POC scope
